A B S T R A C T The invention relates to apparatus adapted for attachment to a base structure to provide support for a shelf or the like. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a clip adapted to at least in part to envelope the base structure. An arm is pivotally attached to at least one side of the clip, the arm being provided at its end adjacent the clip with a cam profile, which, upon pivoted movement of the arm from a first substantially vertical and inoperative position to a second substantially horizontal operative position engages with, and clamps the clip to the base structure. The apparatus according to the invention is such that the weight of the object being supported by the arm serves to maintain the apparatus in operative engagement with the base structure.
