ABSTRACT This invention relates to supporting insulators for high-current bus bars, particularly those in tubular enclosures, and particularly the problem of design, assembly and disassembly of the supporting insulators for high-current bus bars. Each insulator supporting a high-current bus bar, particularly in a tubular enclosure is fastened to a bracket mounted on the opposite inner faces of a flange of an assembly-inspection hole, which is preferably of an elliptical shape. Two holes on opposite sides of the bracket form assembly-inspection spaces for the insulator and an insulator cap. The holes are covered, together with the bracket, by a lid. Moreover, in order to make possible a sliding motion of the insulator mounted on the bracket, a special shock-absorbing member is introduced between the cover and the bracket.
