ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a supporting structure for use with members selected from reflectors, solar cells and solar cell carriers comprising, interconnected profiled and/or tubular bars on which the members may be arranged and attached side by side in one plane, said supporting structure having supporting bars in spaced, parallel arrangement to carry the members, said bars extending lengthwise over a distance no greater than the width of the member, and at least two of said bars at a time being interconnected by means of cross-arms attached to a central upright extending essentially in parallel with the supporting bars.
