A suppository of retaining in a lower region of rectum, which contains a suppository base containing: (A) a fatty acid triglyceride, (B) one or more C14-18 fatty acid glycerides, and (C) a base ingredient for retaining the suppository in the lower region of rectum, has quite high safety, does not melt by the body temperature when it is held by the fingers before insertion into the rectum so that it is easy to handle, does not deform by elevation of temperature during storage, and prevents stimulation to the rectum mucosa such as congestive hemorrhage and expansion of the rectum mucosa after the insertion.

Des suppositoires soutenus dans le rectum inférieur caractérisés en ce qu'ils contiennent une base de suppositoire comprenant (A) un triglycéride d'acides gras, (B) un ou plusieurs esters d'acides gras du glycérol porteurs de 14 à 18 atomes de carbone, et (C) un composant de base soutenu dans le rectum inférieur.
