Abstract of the Disclosure An insulated conductor (20) comprises a centrally disposed transmission medium (22) and enclosing plastic insulation material (21). The plastic insulation material is at least substantially non-porous. A colorant material (23) covers the surface of the plastic insulation material. The resulting colored insulated conductor has electrical properties which are greatly improved over those for a conductor which has been insulated with a plastic material having a colorant dispersed throughout. - 14 -
