This invention relates to a membrane associated protein, p33, and the complex it farms with a soluble lymphotoxin. These proteins are found on the surface of a number of cells, including phorbol ester (PMA) stimulated T cell hybridoma II-23.D7 cells. These proteins and complexes are useful as anti-inflammatory agents, enhancers of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, tumor growth inhibiting agents, T cell inhibiting agents and T cell activating agents.
