The invention comprises a composition comprising a combination of carbon black and at least one surface treating agent selected from the group consisting of quinone compounds, quinoneimine compounds and quinonediimine compounds, as well as methods of obtaining the composition and the use of the composition in dispersing carbon black in a natural or synthetic polymer. The composition achieves increased dispersibility and improved mixing characteristics of the carbon black and improved processability of the carbon black containing polymer.

La présente invention concerne une composition qui contient du noir de carbone et au moins un agent de traitement de surface associés. Cet agent de traitement est sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par des composés de quinone, des composés de quinoneimine et des composés de quinonediimine. Par ailleurs, cette invention concerne des procédés de préparation de cette composition ainsi que des procédés d'utilisation de cette composition dans la dispersion du noir de carbone dans un polymère naturel ou synthétique. Cette composition présente des caractéristiques améliorées en terme de dispersibilité et de mélange du noir de carbone, et d'aptitude au traitement du polymère à base de noir de carbone.
