The present invention is directed to a surface-treating agent comprising a fluoropolymer comprising (A) repeating units derived from a fluorine-containing monomer of the formula: (see formula I) (B) repeating units derived from a monomer free from a fluorine atom, and (C) optionally, repeating units derived from a crosslinkable monomer. The surface treating agent is excellent in water repellency, oil repellency and is not susceptible to fouling even when the side chains are C4 or lower fluoroalkyl groups.

L'invention concerne un agent de traitement de surface comprenant un fluoropolymère renfermant : (A) des motifs de répétition dérivés d'un fluoropolymère représenté par la formule (I) ; (B) un motif structurel dérivé d'un monomère ne comprenant pas d'atome de fluorine ; et (C) un motif structurel dérivé d'un monomère de réticulation comme motif facultatif. L'agent de traitement de surface possède d'excellents caractères hydrofuge et oléofuge et n'est pas susceptible de produire des salissures quand les chaînes latérales sont des C4 ou des groupes fluoroalkyle inférieurs.
