This invention describes a surface treatment composition, preferably for personal use, comprising at least one surfactant and at least two different organic acids and/or salts or organic acids, and wherein the total concentration of the organic acids and/or salts in the composition is at least 0.5 % (w/v). The invention further extends to a method of treating a surface, preferably hair or skin, to remove dirt and to remove or inhibit microbial growth. The acids are preferable citric and lactic acid, and preferably act to buffer the composition together with their salts.

L'invention concerne une composition de traitement de surface, de préférence pour une utilisation personnelle, comprenant au moins un tensioactif et au moins deux acides organiques différents et/ou des sels ou des acides organiques, la concentration totale d'acides organiques et/ou sels dans la composition est d'au moins 0,5 % (w/v). L'invention concerne, de plus, un procédé de traitement d'une surface, de préférence la peau ou les cheveux, destiné à éliminer la saleté ou inhiber la croissance microbienne. Les acides utilisés sont de préférence l'acide citrique et l'acide lactique, et ils agissent de préférence pour tamponner la composition avec leurs sels.
