A method of modifying at least part of the surface of a polymer or polymer matrix composite material including: (i) oxidising at least part of the surface of the polymer or polymer matrix material, and (ii) subsequently treating the oxidised surface with an organofunctional coupling agent and/or chelating agent, simultaneously with a static and/or a high frequency alternating physical field.

Procédé de modification d'au moins une partie de la surface d'un polymère ou d'un matériau composite à matrice polymère. Ledit procédé consiste: à (i) oxyder au moins une partie de la surface du polymère ou du matériau à matrice polymère, et (ii) à traiter la surface oxydée au moyen d'un agent de couplage organofonctionnel et/ou un agent chélatant simultanément à l'application d'un champ physique alternatif statique et/ou haute fréquence.
