A surgical alignment guide for hip replacement or revision surgery includes a support (12) for a prosthetic acetabular cup, the support being connected to one end of a carrier shaft (10). The support (12) has a bore (14) angled relative to the shaft so that a prosthetic acetabular cup secured to the support (12) has the correct orientation. An arm (26) extends from the shaft (10) at a position spaced from the support (12), and an adjustment arrangement (17, 21) is associated with the shaft (10) to enable adjustment of the angular position of the bore (14) with respect to the arm (26). In one form, an outer end of the arm (26) is connected to a gauge (28) which provides an alignment orientation indication of the cup support (12) and a prosthetic acetabular cup attached thereto. The adjustment arrangement may have two radial fingers (17) extending from the shaft (10) and engagable with teeth (24) associated with the arm (26).
L'invention concerne un guide d'alignement chirurgical lors de la mise en place d'une prothèse de la hanche ou d'une chirurgie de reprise d'une prothèse de la hanche, comportant un support (12) pour une cavité acétabulaire prosthétique, le support étant rattaché à une extrémité d'une tige porteuse (10). Le support (12) comporte un alésage (14) incliné par rapport à la tige de façon à orienter correctement une cavité acétabulaire prosthétique fixée au support (12). Un bras (26) s'étend depuis la tige (10) en une position espacée du support (12) et un mécanisme de réglage (17, 21) est associé à la tige (10) pour permettre le réglage de la position angulaire de l'alésage (14) par rapport au bras (26). Dans un mode de réalisation, une extrémité extérieure du bras (26) est raccordée à un indicateur (28) qui fournit une indication de l'alignement du support (12) et de la cavité acétabulaire prosthétique qui y est fixée. Le mécanisme de réglage peut comporter deux doigts radiaux (17) faisant saillie de la tige (10) et susceptible de s'enclencher sur des dents (24) associées aux bras (26).
