The invention concerns a surgical bone anchoring device without screw or stud, comprising a thread (1) whereof the median part, designed to be inserted in a hole previously drilled in the bone, is shaped like a closed loop (2) bearing a deformable tubular sheath (5) capable of sliding on the thread (1) within the limits of the loop (2), and to be deformed into a ball by a pull exerted on at least one strand (3, 4) of the thread (1).
