This invention is a bone wax applicator (10) having a foot plate (14), and a handle (12), wherein the bone wax (16) is secured to the lower surface (22) of the foot plate and applied by holding the handle. The handle extends from the upper surface (20) of the foot plate near the center of the upper surface. A pattern (34) is provided on the lower surface of the foot plate to better hold the bone wax. The lower surface is provided with a raised edge (32) to better hold the wax. The wax itself may have a pattern (38) or embossed or printed surface to provide greater gripping power. Further, gripping structures (18) are provided on the handle to prevent accidental slippage during use. The bone wax applicator includes radiopaque material so that it can be readily identified from an x-ray image.

L'invention est un applicateur (10) de cire hémostatique présentant une semelle (14) ainsi qu'un manche (12), dans lequel la cire hémostatique (16) est fixée à la surface inférieure (22) de la semelle et appliquée en tenant le manche.
