A surgical drape for use during surgery on a patient includes a sheet configured for covering at least a portion of the patient during the surgery. The drape includes a first sheet portion having a size and configuration to overlie the patient during the medical procedure. A fenestration is defined in the first sheet portion at a location corresponding to the site of the medical procedure on the patient. A second sheet portion is attached to a lower surface of the first sheet portion and has a size and configuration so as to be draped from the first sheet portion and extend under the patient's buttocks while remaining attached to first sheet during the medical procedure.

L'invention concerne un champ opératoire pour une utilisation durant une intervention sur un patient qui comporte un drap configuré de manière à recouvrir au moins une portion du patient durant l'intervention chirurgicale. Le champ comporte une première portion de drap d'une taille et d'une configuration qui permettent de recouvrir le patient durant l'acte médical. Selon l'invention, une fenêtre est définie dans la première portion de drap à un emplacement qui correspond au site de l'acte médical sur le patient. Une deuxième portion de drap est fixée à une surface inférieure de la première portion de drap et sa taille ainsi que sa configuration permettent de l'étendre depuis la première portion de drap et de la faire passer sous les fesses du patient bien qu'elle reste fixée au premier drap durant l'acte médical.
