Abstract of the Disclosure A surgical drape composed of flexible non woven material includes an outer peripheral edge, an internal edge defining a fenestration within the drape, and margin portions adjacent the internal edge. The margin portions are micro- creped through the internal edge to compact the margin portions and the internal edge to an initial compacted dimension, any portion of the edge and the margin portions being irreversibly extensible to an extended dimension, responsive to tension to provide conformability of the surgical drape-and fenestration.
