A device for snaring cord-like objects and a method for using same to pass portions of the cord-like objects through tissue, are provided. The device includes a shaft (500) containing a wire assembly (400) having an object capturing device at its distal end. The wire assembly is reciprocally movable relative to the shaft between a first position whereon the capturing device is located within the distal portion of the shaft, and a second position wherein the capturing device extends distally outwardly from the distal end of the shaft. An activation device (305) is attached to the proximal end of the shaft and the proximal end of the wire assembly so as to allow the controlled axial movement of the wire assembly relative to the shaft, and so as to allow the shaft and the wire assembly to be rotated as a unit about the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The methods include snaring and grasping a length of cord-like material and passing the cord-like material through one or more layers of tissue.

Un dispositif permet de passer un noeud coulant autour d'objets de type filamentaire et un procédé permet de l'utiliser pour faire passer des parties de tels objets au travers de tissus. Ce dispositif comporte un tube (500) qui contient un ensemble tringle (400), doté à son extrémité distale d'un système de capture d'object, qui peut faire des allers et retours par rapport à ce tube, entre une première position, où ce système de capture est placé dans la partie distale du tube, et une deuxième position où il sort de cette extrémité. Un dispositif (305) de fixation est fixé à l'extrémité proximale du tube et de l'ensemble tringle et permet un déplacement axial modulé de cet ensemble tringle par rapport au tube, ces deux éléments pouvant tourner solidairement autour de l'axe longitudinal du tube. Le procédé inclut la passage d'un noeud coulant permettant la préhension d'un tronçon d'objet filamentaire et le passage de cet objet au travers d'une ou plusieurs couches de tissus.
