The disclosed filtration system (10) filters both entering air and exiting air. A primary element of the air filtration system is the unitary helmet member (12) which fits over a user's head, and has a rear aperture (14), a front aperture (18), and a middle aperture (16). A hood filter (34), and a face shield (36) fit over the unitary helmet member.
