A surgical prosthesis includes a three-dimensional mesh including at least two types of yarns interlooped or intertwined to define at least two layers, wherein one of the at least two layers is substantially non-biodegradable. An adhesion barrier is interconnected with the second, substantially biodegradable layer of the three-dimensional mesh.
