Apparatus and method for surgery is disclosed which includes a retractor having a substantially planar base defining an opening for overlying an operative site on a patient. A retractor blade is slidably positionable at a plurality of predetermined locations in the cavity and includes a distal portion angularly depending relative to a proximal portion. A fluid assembly is integrally formed with the retractor blade and includes a distal portion extending independent of the distal portion of the retractor blade.
