An improved surgical retractor stay (10) has an integrally formed handle body (12) and elongated elastic member (13) with a tail that can engage a slot of a retractor. The improved construction preferably includes an injection molded one-piece handle and elongated member so that void spaces are eliminated. A wire hook member (11) includes multiple folded sections that are encapsulated by the handle (e.g., during injection molding of the handle about the hook member). An exposed portion of the hook member extends beyond the distal tip of the handle body and provides a sharp end portion (23) that is used to engage selected body tissue.
Ce dispositif de maintien amélioré pour écarteur chirurgical (10) comporte un corps de tête de préhension (12) formé d'une seule pièce et un élément élastique allongé (13) dont la queue peut s'emboîter dans une fente de l'écarteur. Cette structure améliorée comprend, de préférence, une tête de préhension monobloc moulée par injection et un élément allongé de sorte que sont supprimés les espaces morts. Un crochet-fil (11) comporte plusieurs parties repliées prises dans la tête de préhension (par exemple, lors du moulage par injection de la tête autour du crochet). Une partie à découvert de ce crochet s'étend au-delà de pointe distale du corps de tête de préhension et constitue une partie à extrémité pointue (23) utilisée pour entrer en contact avec le tissu choisi.
