A surgical device is disclosed which includes a handle portion (12), a central body portion (14) and a SULU (16). The SULU includes a proximal body portion, an intermediate pivot member and a tool assembly (232). The intermediate pivot member is pivotally secured to the proximal body portion about a first pivot axis and the tool assembly is pivotally secured to the intermediate pivot member about a second pivot axis which is orthogonal to the first pivot axis. The SULU includes a plurality of articulation links which are operably connected to the tool assembly by non-rigid links. The articulation links are adapted to releasably engage articulation links positioned in the central body portion. The body portion articulation links are connected to an articulation actuator which is supported for omni-directional movement to effect articulation of the tool assembly about the first and second axes. The handle portion includes a spindle and barrel assembly drive mechanism for advancing and retracting a drive member positioned in the tool assembly.
L'invention concerne un dispositif chirurgical comprenant une partie poignée, une partie de corps centrale et une unité de chargement à usage unique (SULU). Cette unité de chargement à usage unique comprend une partie de corps proximale, un élément pivot intermédiaire et en ensemble outil. Cet élément pivot intermédiaire est fixé de façon pivotante à la partie de corps proximale autour d'un premier axe pivot et l'ensemble outil est fixé de façon pivotante sur l'élément pivot intermédiaire autour d'un second axe pivot perpendiculaire par rapport au premier axe pivot. Ces pièces intermédiaires d'articulation de la partie de corps sont reliées à un actionneur d'articulation soutenu pour un mouvement omnidirectionnel destiné à avoir de l'effet sur l'articulation de l'ensemble outil autour des premier et second axes. La partie poignée comprend une tige et un mécanisme d'entraînement de l'ensemble cylindre permettant de faire avancer et de rétracter un élément d'entraînement situé dans l'ensemble outil. Dans un mode de réalisation de cette invention, l'ensemble outil comprend un ensemble cartouche possédant plusieurs agrafes et un ensemble plaque support.
