A suspension assembly for a multi-axle trailer includes a front mounting, a rear mounting and a rigid axle support arm that extends between the front mounting and the rear mounting. The first end of the axle support arm is mounted for pivotal movement about a substantially horizontal axis by the front mounting. A roller is rotatably mounted at the second end of the axle support arm for rotational movement about the longitudinal axis of the axle support arm. The rear mounting includes a roller travel channel. Spaced sidewalls of the roller travel channel are adapted to engage the roller. The rear support wall is adapted to engage the second end of the axle support arm to permit axial loads to be transmitted along the longitudinal axis of the axle support arm to the rear mounting.
