ABSTRACT A number of embodiments of independent suspension systems for vehicle wheels of the double wishbone type. In each embodiment, the lower arm is divided into a pair of pivotally connected lower arms and means are provided for controlling the position of the pivotal connection upon suspension travel for limiting changes in the distance between the center of contact of the wheel with the ground and the body during the suspension travel. - 14 -
