A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a suspension of seeds and a method for forming such a suspension which comprises dispersing the seeds in a pseudo- plastic, substantially non-thixotropic biodegradable aqueous medium containing in solution xanthan gum and at least one non-ionic water-soluble polymer. The medium is useful in the planting of seeds which may be pre-germinated.
