Biocompatible intraocular implants include a beta adrenergic receptor antagonist and a polymer associated with the beta adrenergic receptor antagonist to facilitate release of the beta adrenergic receptor antagonist into an eye for an extended period of time. The beta adrenergic receptor antagonist may be associated with a biodegradable polymer matrix, such as a matrix of a two biodegradable polymers. The implants may be placed in an eye to treat one or more ocular conditions, such as an ocular neuropathies, for example, various forms of glaucoma.
Selon cette invention, des implants intraoculaires biocompatibles contiennent un antagoniste du récepteur bêta-adrénergique et un polymère associé à l'antagoniste du récepteur bêta-adrénergique de manière à faciliter la libération de l'antagoniste du récepteur bêta-adrénergique dans un oeil pendant une période de temps étendue. Ledit antagoniste du récepteur bêta-adrénergique peut être associé à une matrice polymère biodégradable, telle qu'une matrice de deux polymères biodégradables. Lesdits implants peuvent être placés dans un oeil de manière à traiter au moins un trouble oculaire, tel qu'une neuropathie oculaire, par exemple, diverse formes de glaucome.
