Disclosed are sustained release oral solid dosage forms comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a medicament having a solubility of more than about 10 g/l; a pH modifying agent; and a sustained release matrix comprising a gelling agent, said gelling agent comprising a heteropolysaccharide gum and a homopolysaccharide gum capable of cross-linking said heteropolysaccharide gum when exposed to an environmental fluid, said dosage form providing a sustained release of said medicament after oral administration to human patients.
L'invention concerne des formes posologiques solides à libération prolongée administrées par voie orale, qui renferment une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace de médicament ayant une solubilité supérieure à environ 10 g/l; un modificateur de pH; et une matrice à libération prolongée comprenant un agent gélifiant, lequel renferme une gomme à base d'hétéropolysaccharide et une autre gomme à base d'homopolysaccharide pouvant réticuler la première gomme sous exposition à un environnement liquide. Ce type de forme posologique assure une libération prolongée en cas d'administration orale à l'homme.
