[PROBLEMS] To provide a preparation which shows a satisfactory gastric residence time, has such a size that is easy to be ingested, can be disintegrated rapidly after the excretion from the stomach, and can be prepared readily in an industrial scale. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A gastric retentive preparation having a gastric resident layer and a drug release layer, wherein the gastric resident layer is never disintegrated in the stomach and is disintegrated in the intestine. Preferably, the gastric resident layer shows the minimum diameter of 7 mm or more as measured after stirring the preparation in a first solution at 200 rpm at 37~C for 15 hours under the conditions for the paddle method in the dissolution test in accordance with Japanese Pharmacopoeia and shows the maximum diameter of 6 mm or less as measured after further stirring the preparation in a second solution at 200 rpm at 37~C for 9 hours under the same conditions.

L'invention a pour objet une préparation qui présente un temps de séjour gastrique satisfaisant, qui a une taille telle qu'elle est facile à ingérer, qui peut se déliter rapidement après excrétion de l'estomac et qui peut être préparée rapidement à l'échelle industrielle. L'invention concerne une préparation restant dans l'estomac ayant une couche lui permettant de rester dans l'estomac et une couche libérant un médicament, la couche lui permettant de rester dans l'estomac ne se délitant jamais dans l'estomac et se délitant dans l'intestin. De préférence, la couche lui permettant de rester dans l'estomac présente un diamètre minimal supérieur ou égal à 7 mm tel que mesuré après avoir agité la préparation dans une première solution à 200 tours/min à 37°C pendant 15 heures dans les conditions convenant pour l'essai avec des palettes dans l'essai de dissolution conformément à la Pharmacopée japonaise et elle présente un diamètre maximal inférieur ou égal à 6 mm tel que mesuré après avoir encore agité la préparation dans une seconde solution à 200 tours/min à 37°C pendant 9 heures dans les mêmes conditions.
