A sustained release veterinary composition, for intra-muscular and subcutaneous administration comprises Tylosin and an oily vehicle containing a gelling agent, wherein the gelling agent may be an aluminium salt of a fatty acid such as stearic acid and the oily vehicle may be a low viscosity polyol diester of a short chain naturally derived fatty acid such as propylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate.
