A tool (100) includes a housing adapted to receive an anchor (40) with attached suture (503), and a suture retainer (149) adapted to receive the attached suture. The suture retainer is configured to regulate deployment of the suture from the retainer such that deployment of the suture from the housing does not occur until a load applied to the suture corresponds to at least a selected minimum fixation strength of the anchor in bone. A method includes inserting a suture anchor (40) at an attachment site, the suture anchor having an attached suture (503), and deploying the attached suture from a suture retainer (149) when a load applied to the suture corresponds to at least a selected minimum fixation strength of the anchor in bone.
L'invention concerne un logement conçu pour recevoir un ancrage pourvu d'un fil de suture, ainsi qu'un dispositif de retenue conçu pour recevoir ledit fil de suture. Le dispositif de retenue de suture est configuré pour régler le déploiement de la suture à partir dudit dispositif, de sorte que le déploiement de la suture à partir du logement ne se produit pas avant que la charge appliquée sur ladite suture corresponde à au moins une force de fixation minimum déterminée de l'ancrage dans l'os. L'invention concerne également un procédé consistant à insérer l'ancrage de suture au niveau d'un site de fixation, l'ancrage de suture étant pourvu d'un fil de suture, et à déployer ledit fil de suture à partir d'un dispositif de retenue de suture lorsque la force appliquée sur la suture correspond à au moins une force de fixation minimum déterminée de l'ancrage dans l'os.
