A sutured staple (10), instrument and method are provided for constructing a graft to artery anastomosis, and other soft tissue anastomoses, particularly by minimally invasive (or endoscopic) surgery. The sutured staple (10) is comprised of a needle (4), pin (3), base (2), and flange (1). The needle (4) allows this surgical staple to be sewn through, for example, a graft and artery to be joined. The pin (3), base (2), and flange (1) are formed to seal the graft and artery together between cooperating surfaces of the base (2) and flange (1). The instrument (10) holds the staple at its distal or working end, and controls in the handle allow application of the staple. The method employs the sutured staples and instrument to join soft tissues, and to construct graft to artery anastomoses.

L'invention concerne une agrafe (10), un instrument et un procédé de suture permettant de réaliser une anastomose greffon-artère et autres anastomoses des tissus mous, en particulier dans le cadre d'une chirurgie à effraction minimale (ou endoscopique). L'agrafe de suture (10) comprend une aiguille (4), une tige (3), une base (2), et un rebord (1). L'aiguille (4) permet de coudre cette agrafe chirurgicale à travers, par exemple une greffon et un artère que l'on cherche à rapprocher.
