ABSTRACT According to the invention a swaged joint is formed between the end of a first corrugated tubular member and a second tubular member, by engaging an annular jointing member in a groove of the corrugations of the corrugated tubular member adjacent the end thereof, providing an annular abutment around the second tubular member adjacent the end thereof, bringing the ends of the two tubular members together axially so that the jointing member and abutment engage, and either swaging the jointing member over the abutment or swaging a separate sleeve over the jointing member and the abutment to hold them together. In the case of a helically corrugated tube, the jointing member is preferably screwed onto the tube, by at least one turn, and is preferably held captive on the tube by axially compressing the end portion of the tube once the jointing member has been screwed past it. The jointing member may be a radially projecting sheet metal annulus, such as a split ring, which is connected to he corrugated tubular abutment member on the second tubular member.
