A SWASH PLATE TYPE COMPRESSOR Abstract In a swash plate type compressor, an oil separating chamber is arranged in the course of flow of coolant gas from an inlet to a low pressure chamber. An oil accumulating chamber is formed between an end of the drive shaft and a rear side cover. The oil accumulating chamber communicates with the oil separating chamber and with a thrust bearing through an oil passage extending along the drive shaft. The thrust bearing is lubricated by oil from the oil accumulating chamber.
