-9- SWATH FLUFFER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A swath fluffer for a swathed crop may be connected to a three point hitch to be pulled or pushed across a field. An optional tow bar arrangement is provided. The fluffer has a pick up for picking up a swath of crop and delivering it rearwardly to a series of tapered rotors arranged in an arcuate array immediately behind the pick up. The rotors are cruciform in cross section and have resilient strips along the outer edges of their ribs. The rotor and pick up speeds can be controlled independently by the operator to accommodate different crop conditions. In addition, the angle of the rotor array with respect to ground may be altered to alter the aggressiveness of the rotors. The rotors act to expand the swath without rolling, twisting or producing other significant alterations in it.
