A B S T R A C T A process for sweating wax- and oil-containing petroleum feedstock comprises charging molten feedstock to a sweating vessel, cooling the molten feedstock to form solid feedstock, heating the solid feedstock so that the oil separates there- from and drains out of the sweating vessel and removing the residual wax from the sweating vessel, characterized in that the molten feedstock is vibrated during the cooling thereof.
