ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a swell-soldering apparatus with a soldering tank for molten metal and a pressure chamber contained therein, a pressure generating device consisting of a compressed air cushion on the underside of coverwall is planned accor- ding to the invention. This compressed air cushion is fed from a compressed air source through a compressed air conduit. This procedure creates a quiet soldering swell which emanates evenly from the nozzle and which can be used for soldering and un-soldering. The swell-soldering apparatus consists of a cylindrical soldering tank and the pressure chamber which is also cylindrical and inserted concentrically in the tank, whereby an annular return chamber for molten soldering metal is created between the two. The latter is connected to pressure chamber through a return pipe which is fitted with a check valve . The swell-generating nozzle with a hollow shaft 8 protrudes vertically downward into the pressure chamber until close to the bottom.
