ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wall assembly for a swimming pool comprises a concrete footing for supporting the assembly, fiberglass panel members extending upwardly from the concrete footing, the bottoms of which are imbedded in the footing, and vertically extending concrete columns located on the outside of and providing lateral support for the panel members. The panel members are arranged side- by-side in a row about the periphery of the pool, The concrete columns are supported at their bottoms on the concrete footing. One concrete column is positioned along the length of each joint between two adjacent panel members whereby the joints between the members are sealed by the concrete columns. A method is also provided for erecting the wall assembly.
