The invention provides compositions useful for vaccinating pigs against Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. The compositions comprise inactivated M. hyopneumoniae organisms in a pharmaceutically acceptable medium, the organisms being present in an amount sufficient to induce an immunological response in pigs which is protective against challenge by M. hyopneumoniae.
