A system for vaccinating swine according to one embodiment includes a housing having an open first end and an open opposite second end. The housing has a pair of side walls that are angled and non-parallel to one another such that at the second end only a single piglet can exit at one time. The system also includes a vac-cination station for individually vaccinating piglets. The vaccination station is located between the pair of side walls in a region thereof that is sized to only permit one piglet to stand between the side walls. The vaccination sta-tion includes at least one sensor that detects the presence of the one piglet within the vaccination station and at least one spray nozzle positioned within the vaccination station such that a vaccine dose discharged therefrom is directed upwardly into facial areas of the piglet effectively.
Selon un mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un système de vaccination de porcs comportant une enceinte présentant une première extrémité ouverte et une seconde extrémité ouverte. L'enceinte présente une paire de parois latérales formant un angel et non parallèles mutuellement de sorte que la seconde extrémité ne permet la sortie que dun seul porcelet à la fois. Le système comporte également un poste de vaccination pour la vaccination individuelle de porcelets. Le poste de vaccination est situé entre la paire de parois latérales dans une zone de celle-ci qui est dimensionnée pour permettre la présence d'un seul porcelet debout entre les parois latérales. Le poste de vaccination comporte au moins un capteur qui détecte la présence de l'unique porcelet dans la station de vaccination et au moins une buse de pulvérisation disposée à l'intérieur de la station de vaccination, de sorte que la dose de vaccin qui en est éjectée soit dirigée efficacement vers le haut dans les régions faciales du porcelet.
