ABSTRACT One piece stamped and formed switch (2) which is intended for mounting on a circuit board (8) com- prises an elongated flat base (14) having mounting tabs (16, 18, 28) extending from its ends. A flange (24) extends from one of the ends in the opposite direction from the direction of the mounting tabs and provides a fixed contact surface (26). A cantilever spring (30) is integral with the base (14) at the opposite end and extends alongside the base past the flange (24). In use, the switch device is mounted on the circuit board (8) by inserting the mounting tabs (16, 18, 28) through holes (4, 6) in the circuit board. Thereafter, an inter- mediate portion (22) Or the base is removed by shearing so that the remaining portions are electrically isolated from each other and the spring arm can be engaged with the flange to close a circuit between the conductors on the underside of the circuit board. 9527
