ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a switch for rail points arranged to move two rails interconnected at one of their free ends, between two end positions in engagement with the inner face of one of two rails of e.g. a railroad track, a box girder having the configuration and dimensions of a conventional sleeper supporting the rail track, said box girder housing an electri- cally driven mechanism arranged to effect the movement of the two rails to the end positions thereof, and also a mechanism arranged to indicate when said two rails assume their intended end positions.
