The present switch mode power converter having multiple inductor windings equipped with snubber circuits uses a small value inductor that has at least one properly oriented secondary winding, and ultra fast diodes interconnect the primary and the secondary windings of this inductor for providing protection against momentary short circuits, reductions of dv/dt, and switching losses.

L'invention concerne un convertisseur de puissance à mode commutation comprenant de multiples enroulements inducteurs équipés de circuits de protection, et faisant appel à une bobine d'induction de faible valeur possédant au moins un enroulement secondaire orienté de façon appropriée, des diodes ultra-rapides assurant l'interconnexion des enroulements primaires et secondaires de la bobine d'induction de manière à offrir une protection contre les courts-circuits, les réductions de dv/dt et les pertes de commutation.
