The present invention relates to film transport systems for motion picture projectors and, more particularly, to a film projector movement that is capable of transporting film prints having frames spanning a predetermined number of perforations per frame at a specified projection frame-rate and then automatically switching to another film format having frames spanning a different number of perforations per frame as well as a different projection frame-rate, based on the detection of an encoded trigger strip on the film which carries the format characteristics of the incoming film. A controller enables the system to automatically switch between a variety of different film formats and frame-rates, on the same projector and on the same platter of film, without substantially interrupting or delaying operation of the projector.
L'invention concerne des systèmes d'entraînement de film pour projecteurs cinématographiques, et plus particulièrement à un mouvement de projecteur de film permettant d'entraîner des épreuves de film dont les images couvrent un nombre prédéterminé de perforations par image à une vitesse de défilement d'images de projection spécifiée, et de passer automatiquement à un autre format de film dont les images couvrent un autre nombre de perforations par image et nécessitent une vitesse de projection différente, grâce à la détection d'une bande de déclenchement codée placée sur le film, qui porte les caractéristiques de format du film entrant. Un contrôleur permet au système de basculer automatiquement entre différents formats de film et vitesses de défilement d'images, sur le même projecteur et sur le même substrat de film, sans que le fonctionnement du projecteur soit interrompu ou retardé.
