A switched DC rotating electrical machine (100) comprising a stator (3), a rotor (2) and switching means (11a, 11b, 18a, 18b), an excitation winding (5) associated with one of the stator (3) or the rotor (2) having a pair of inputs, the excitation winding (5) being adapted to cause magnetization of a plurality of magnetic poles (4a - 4l), the switching means (11a, 11b, 18a, 18b) being adapted to be associated with a DC voltage source (19) to switch the output thereof to the first and a second input of the excitation winding (5), the DC voltage source (19) providing a low voltage output (-V), an intermediate voltage output (0V) and a high voltage output (+V), wherein in use the intermediate voltage output is continuously connected to the first input of said excitation winding 19 and the second input is switched in a cyclic operation by the switching means between connection with the high voltage output (+V) and the low voltage output (-V).
La présente invention concerne une machine électrique rotative CC commutée (100) comportant un stator (3), un rotor (2) et un moyen de commutation (11a, 11b, 18a, 18b), une bobine d'excitation (5) associée soit au stator (3) soit au rotor (2) et ayant une paire d'entrées, ladite bobine d'excitation (5) étant conçue pour provoquer la magnétisation d'une pluralité de pôles magnétiques (4a - 4l), ledit moyen de commutation (11a, 11b, 18a, 18b) étant conçu pour être associé à une source de tension CC (19) permettant de commuter la sortie de celle-ci à la première et à une second entrée de la bobine d'excitation (5), la source de tension CC (19) fournissant une sortie basse tension (-V), une sortie de tension intermédiaire (0V) et une sortie de tension élevée (+V), ladite machine étant telle, qu'en cours d'utilisation, la sortie de tension intermédiaire est connectée en continu à la première entrée de ladite bobine d'excitation (19) et la seconde entrée est commutée au cours d'une opération cyclique par le moyen de commutation entre la connexion avec la sortie haute tension (+V) et la connexion avec la sortie basse tension (-V).
