ABSTRACT SWITCHING MODE POWER SUPPLY Switching mode power supply for supplying power to service equipment consuming heavy currents, in particu- lar electrical welding equipment, in which the mains voltage is rectified by a mains rectifier, the direct voltage thus obtained is converted into a high-frequency square-wave voltage by means of semi-conductor switches controlled by high-frequency and the high-frequency square-wave voltage is transformed by a transformer and is rectified by an output rectifier, wherein the conductors of each electrical circuit carrying high-frequency power in the region between mains rectifier and output of the output rectifiers are formed as thin laminated metal plates having thin-film, preferably foil, insulation lying there-between.
