In a switching voltage power supply, a series regulator circuit interconnects an input voltage section (44) with an output voltage section (20B) of the switching power supply. The regulator circuit has an n-channel MOSFET transistor (Q1) serving as a regulator element. A gating circuit applies a gating voltage to the gate terminal relative to the drain terminal for establishing states of current conduction and current cut-off in the transistor. A biasing circuit interconnects the gating circuit with the drain terminal for establishing an offset potential of the gate terminal relative to the drain terminal during the state of current conduction, the offset potential counteracting a gate-to-source threshold voltage for reduction of a voltage drop between the drain terminal and the source terminal with a corresponding reduction in power dissipation of the regulator element.
Selon l'invention, dans une alimentation de tension à découpage, un circuit de régulateur en série interconnecte une section de tension d'entrée avec une section de tension de sortie de l'alimentation à découpage. Le circuit du régulateur comprend un transistor MOSFET à canal n servant d'élément du régulateur. Un circuit de portillonnage applique une tension de portillonnage à la borne de la grille par rapport à la borne du drain, de manière à établir des états de la conduction réelle de courant et de coupure de courant dans le transistor. Un circuit de polarisation interconnecte le circuit de portillonnage avec la borne du drain, de manière à établir un potentiel de décalage de la borne de la grille par rapport à la borne du drain pendant l'état de conduction réelle, le potentiel de décalage agissant contre une tension seuil grille-à-source, aux fins de réduction d'une baisse de tension entre la borne du drain et la borne de la source, au moyen d'une réduction correspondante dans la dissipation de puissance de l'élément du régulateur.
