SYNCHRONIZED GRAPHICS INK JET PRINTER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An ink jet printer utilizing an electrically driven and piezo- electrically actuated print head and a rotating cylindrical drum synchronizes the generation of ink drops with the instantaneous speed of the drum to compensate for variations in the speed of the drum. The print head is driven by a triggerable single cycle sine wave generator. The drum and a lead screw for advancing the print head across the drum are each driven by stepper motors.
