F-4040 SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR ROTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rotor for a synchronous motor including a bar magnet with a cross-section that is circular, square, square with beveled corners, etc, is inside the hollow central part of a plastic resin support which has been molded over the magnet, and which has windows formed in the support pro- viding access to the magnet. The motor shaft projects from the ends of the support, and may either be molded with the support or may be inserted into the ends of the support, and a drive gear may be formed in one end of the shaft. The invention avoids the need for forming holes in the magnet for the shaft.
