ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to a synergic growth- promoting feed supplement composition for farm animals which contains 2-formylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide cyanoacetylhydrazone, which has the generic designation cyadox, in combination with antibiotics and/or sulfonamides. These substances were sur- prisingly found to enhance synergically the favorable effect of cyadox on the animal growth promotion and feed utilisation as well as on the suppression of pathogenic microorganisms. The feed supplement composition according to the invention is advantageously used in the form of additives to feed- stuffs and feed mixtures for farm animals such as, e.g., pigs, calves and poultry. In comparison with cyadox alone, the composition ensures substantially more efficient increase in live-weight gains, suppression of microbial infections, improvement of the health of animals and reduction of losses by early mortality; especially remarkable effects are obtained by the use of the composition and of supplemented feed compris- ing same in large-scale breeding conditions.
