ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A superior industrial biocide for treating industrial process waters is afforded in the combination of 1,5-pentane- dial and methylene bis thiocyanate. Preferably the biocide will contain from 5% to 95% by weight of 1,5-pentanedial and from 95% to 5% by weight of methylene bis thiocyanate.
