The invention concerns a synthesis method for a material consisting of particles comprising a core and a coating and/or being interconnected by a carbon cross-linkage, the core of said particles including at least a compound of formula Li¿x?M¿1-y?M'¿y?(XO¿4?)¿n? wherein: x, y and n are numbers such that 0<= x <=2, 0 <= y <=0.6 and 1 <= n <=1.5; M is a transition metal; M' is a element of fixed valency, and the synthesis being performed by reacting and balancing the mixture of precursors, with a reducing gas atmosphere, so as to bring the transition metal(s) to the desired degree of valency, the synthesis being carried out in the presence of a carbon source called conductive carbon which is pyrolyzed. The resulting materials exhibit excellent electrical conductivity and a highly enhanced chemical activity. M' can be selected among Mg?2+¿, Ca?2+¿ Al?3+¿, Zn?2+¿ or a combination of those elements, X is selected among S, P, and Si. Said material can be used as active electrode material in batteries.

Procédé de synthèse d'un matériau constitué de particules comportant un noyau et un enrobage et/ou étant connectés entre elles par un pontage de carbone, le noyau de ces particules comprenant au moins un composé de formule LixM1- yM'y(XO4)n, dans laquelle x, y et n sont des nombres tels que 0 <= x <= 2, 0 <= y <= 0,6 et 1 <= n <= 1,5, M est un métal de transition, M' est un élément de valence fixe, et la synthèse se faisant par réaction et mise en équilibre du mélange des précurseurs, avec une atmosphère gazeuse réductrice, de manière à amener le ou les métaux de transition au degré de valence voulu, la synthèse se faisant en présence d'une source de carbone appelée carbone conducteur qui est soumis à pyrolyse. Les matériaux obtenus présentent une excellente conductivité électrique ainsi qu'une activité chimique très améliorée. M' peut être choisi parmi Mg2+, Ca2+, Al3+, Zn2+ ou une combinaison de ces éléments, X eat choisi parmi S, P et Si. Ce matériau peut être utilisé comme matériau actif d'éllectrode dans les batteries.
